Environment

CRCID believes strongly in Environmental Sustainability. This means that any project that we become a part of must allow for the environment to have the ability to maintain itself.

CRCID also follows CIDA's requirements for each program and project. Each project must integrate environmental sustainability.

Our program coordinators should know that an environmental assessment is a review that should be conducted to predict a project's environmental effects, whether positive or negative.

All programs that include construction activities will be asked to fill out an Environmental Checklist. This allows CRCID to evaluate the need for a further and more formal Environmental Assessment.

Performing an environmental assessment at the very beginning of each construction based program will allow room for changes to be made in order to reduce or eliminate any adverse effects on the project. An environmental assessment budget of no more than $5000 is provided by CIDA for each 2010-2013 program.
